instinct teaches to fear the things the mind cannot see
so they fear invisible beasts they fear unreachable dreams

choking on past regrets getting wasted by time

the breath becomes short the breath becomes baited
a grim atmosphere leading to instant death is awaited

but ghosts cover their fear as denial provides
courage from the things they fear most inside
how long till they wake up how long must they hide?
will their fears disappear if they open their eyes?
